PE coating and board weight
The inside of the cup is lined with a single PE (polyethylene) layer that keeps liquid from soaking into the board and keeps the cup leak-tight with hot and cold drinks. The board comes from FSC® certified sources.
Board weight increases with size: 185 g/m² for 4, 5 and 6 oz, 185–235 for 7 oz, 215–260 for 8 oz, 260–295 for 12 oz, 300 for 16 oz and 300–320 g/m² for 22 oz. Heavier board helps large cups keep their shape with hot drinks.
Ounces and millilitres are not the same
Paper cup sizes are named in ounces (oz), but the size name is a label. For example, 7 oz works out at about 207 ml mathematically, while our 7 oz cup holds 180 ml.
Check the ml value in the table when ordering. The rim diameter also decides the lid: 62 mm for 4 oz, 70 mm for 5–7 oz, 80 mm for 8 oz and 90 mm for 12–22 oz.
Lids, case quantities and printing
White and black sip-through lids fit 4, 7, 8 and 12 oz cups. With single wall cups, a sleeve reduces the heat felt in the hand; for insulation in a single item, choose double wall cups.
Case quantity is 3,000 for 4, 5, 6 and 7 oz, 1,000 for 8, 12 and 16 oz, and 600 for 22 oz. Besides plain white cups, we print your custom logo; pricing depends on size, quantity and print.
